Wes Craven's Deadly Blessing (1981) Getting 4K UHD Release From Kino Lorber

Wes Craven's 1981 horror film Deadly Blessing (1981) is headed to 4K UHD with a new HDR/Dolby Vision master. Kino Lorber announced the release via X.
The film, set in a rural religious community, follows a young widow (Maren Jensen) who becomes the target of increasingly sinister events after her husband's mysterious death. The cast includes Ernest Borgnine as a stern Hittite patriarch, a young Sharon Stone in one of her earliest film roles, and Lisa Hartman.
Craven directed Deadly Blessing (1981) following The Hills Have Eyes (1977). The film was shot on location in Dallas, Ennis, and Waxahachie, Texas. The cinematography is by Robert Jessup, who also shot Silent Rage (1982), and the score comes from James Horner, years before his Oscar-winning work on Titanic (1997).
The film previously received a Collector's Edition Blu-ray from Scream Factory (affiliate link) in 2013. The upcoming Kino Lorber release would mark its first appearance on 4K UHD and its first new home video edition in over a decade.
Kino Lorber has not yet announced a street date, special features, or pricing.
