Kino Lorber will release The Pink Panther Masterpiece Collection on September 8. The limited-edition set contains 5 films on 4K UHD and a Blu-ray of special features.
The films star Peter Sellers as Inspector Jacques Clouseau. Blake Edwards directed all 5 entries.
Five films restored in 4K
The set includes:
- The Pink Panther
- A Shot in the Dark
- The Return of the Pink Panther
- The Pink Panther Strikes Again
- Revenge of the Pink Panther
Four titles were previously released separately on 4K UHD in December 2025.
Kino Lorber has restored each film in 4K from its camera negative. All 5 restorations were completed in 2025.
All 5 films will include Dolby Vision and HDR presentations. The audio options are 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 with optional English subtitles also available.
Commentaries on all 5 films
Blake Edwards provides the commentary for The Pink Panther. He directed and co-wrote the film.
Jason Simos of The Peter Sellers Appreciation Society discusses A Shot in the Dark, The Return of the Pink Panther and The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
Film historian William Patrick Maynard provides the commentary for Revenge of the Pink Panther.
A full Blu-ray of special features
The sixth disc contains documentaries, interviews, vintage featurettes and promotional material.
The extras for The Pink Panther include The Pink Panther Story, Behind the Feline and The Coolest Cat in Cortina. Several shorter programs examine the film’s locations, diamond plot and cat burglar.
A Shot in the Dark includes Back to the Start. The disc also has an appearance by Edwards and Julie Andrews on The Dick Cavett Show.
The later films include production interviews and archive featurettes. Production designer Peter Mullins discusses his work on the series. Other programs include The Return to Laughter, Panther Musings and Clouseau, the Greatest Fumbler in the World.
Radio spots, television spots and theatrical trailers for the sequels are also included.
The collection gives all 5 original Sellers films the same core 4K, HDR and audio treatment. The Pink Panther Masterpiece Collection arrives on September 8, 2026.
