Kino Lorber is releasing Throw Momma From the Train (1987) on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in April as part of the KL Studio Classics line. The 2-disc release features a new 4K restoration sourced from the original camera negative and includes a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation on the 4K disc.
Danny DeVito directed and starred in the dark comedy alongside Billy Crystal, Kim Greist, Anne Ramsey, and Kate Mulgrew. The film follows Larry (Crystal), a writing instructor whose student Owen (DeVito) hatches a scheme inspired by a Hitchcock classic to swap murders, targeting Larry’s ex-wife and Owen’s domineering mother (Ramsey).
The release includes a new audio commentary by Hats Off Entertainment’s Joe Ramoni and a new interview with cinematographer Barry Sonnenfeld. The Blu-ray disc carries additional extras including three featurettes, four deleted scenes, and a theatrical trailer.
Both discs include 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 audio with optional English subtitles. The first pressing includes a limited edition O-card slipcase.

Description
