The Pink Panther comedies are returning in newly restored 4K UHD. Kino Lorber Studio Classics will release five films directed by Blake Edwards, all sourced from new 4K scans and featuring Henry Mancini’s legendary scores.
Kino Lorber confirms the restorations
Kino Lorber Studio Classics is restoring and releasing five Pink Panther titles on 4K UHD and Blu-ray. Each film has been created from 4K scans of the 35mm original camera negatives and features new HDR and Dolby Vision grading.
The films included in the release
- The Pink Panther (1963), starring David Niven, Robert Wagner, Claudia Cardinale and Capucine
- A Shot in the Dark (1964), starring Elke Sommer, George Sanders, Herbert Lom and Burt Kwouk
- Return of the Pink Panther (1975), starring Christopher Plummer, Catherine Schell, Herbert Lom and Burt Kwouk
- The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), starring Herbert Lom, Lesley-Anne Down, Omar Sharif and Burt Kwouk
- Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978), starring Dyan Cannon, Herbert Lom, Robert Webber, Robert Loggia and Burt Kwouk
More details, including release dates, will be announced in the future. Alongside these restorations, Kino Lorber is preparing to release Monk: The Complete Series & Movie Blu-ray Box Set this November.
