New Wave Video is releasing Nighty Night (1986) on Blu-ray in early 2026

New Wave Video is preparing a director approved Blu-ray release of Nighty Night, with an estimated ship date slated for late February or early March.
Film Overview
Nighty Night is a cult independent Japanese anthology film originally shot on 8mm. The film presents four twisted tales that explore everything from bloody birthday parties and deadly video games to surreal and unsettling transformations. Blending hands-on practical effects with striking imagery, Nighty Night channels the neon-drenched aesthetic of mid-1980s indie horror.
Video and Audio Specs
The Blu-ray presentation is sourced from the only surviving tape master, which underwent color correction and touch-ups, as the original 8mm film elements have been lost.
The film is presented in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio with 2.0 mono audio. The original Japanese audio is included, along with English subtitles.
