Kamome Diner (2006) will release on Blu-ray in 2026 in Australia from New Wave Video, serving as spine number one in their newly launched Nami Films line, the label announced.

The release will mark the first official English-language Blu-ray edition of the film, and will be strictly limited to 1,000 units.

Directed by Naoko Ogigami, Kamome Diner is set in Helsinki and follows Sachie, a Japanese woman who opens a small diner serving traditional Japanese food in a foreign country. Initially without customers, the cafe gradually becomes a meeting place as Sachie forms connections with locals and fellow Japanese women who arrive in Finland under different circumstances. The story unfolds through everyday interactions, shared meals, and the slow building of community.

Shot on 35mm film, Kamome Diner has long been regarded as a cult favorite but has remained largely unavailable on physical media in English-speaking markets.

Additional details about the release have not yet been disclosed. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
