Shout! Studios will release Miami Vice: The Director’s Final Cut (Collector’s Edition) on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on December 15, 2026, on its Shout Select line. Miami Vice: The Director’s Final Cut (Collector’s Edition) is a 5-disc set with a new edit by writer-director Michael Mann. Mann made The Director’s Final Cut for the 20th anniversary of Miami Vice (2006), which stars Colin Farrell as Sonny Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Ricardo Tubbs.
About Miami Vice (2006)
A case involving drug lords and murder in South Florida takes a personal turn for undercover detectives Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) and Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx). Unorthodox Crockett gets involved romantically with the Chinese-Cuban wife of a trafficker of arms and drugs, while Tubbs deals with an assault on those he loves.
What is new in Miami Vice: The Director’s Final Cut
Michael Mann refined select scenes and re-ordered certain scenes for The Director’s Final Cut. Mann also significantly recut the ending with previously unused footage to reflect his preferred ending. The theatrical cut runs 132 minutes, and The Director’s Final Cut runs 133 minutes.
The Director’s Final Cut combines elements from the original theatrical master, Mann’s first Director’s Cut and new, previously unused dailies footage. Fine details in The Director’s Final Cut were adjusted scene by scene. The Director’s Final Cut premieres at a sold-out Beyond Fest 2026 screening in October.

Discs 3 and 4 present The Director’s Final Cut and the theatrical cut on Blu-ray in 1080p. Discs 1 to 4 share a 2.40:1 aspect ratio and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Disc 5 is a bonus Blu-ray with the 139-minute Original Alternate Cut, which has an optional audio commentary by Mann.
