Marshmallow Blu-ray from Toy Robot Video

Toy Robot Video is releasing Marshmallow on Blu-ray in September. Daniel DelPurgatorio's feature directorial debut is a summer camp slasher that keeps viewers guessing right through to a shocking final reveal, and it arrives with a deep, director-involved package of extras.

The film offers an atmospheric, modern-day twist on the summer camp slasher film. A shy, introverted 12-year-old boy named Morgan is sent off to a secluded summer camp under the banner of Camp Almar, "Where Hearts, Bodies and Minds Come to Grow." His stay turns into a living nightmare when a campfire tale about a psychotic doctor becomes real.

A mysterious figure begins stalking the camp. Morgan and his newfound friends, including a girl named Pilar, embark on a perilous journey that forces them to confront their deepest fears and question the very nature of their existence. DelPurgatorio wrote and directed the film as his smart, stylish feature debut, and the story holds its twist back until the end.

The Blu-ray carries a substantial extras package including an audio commentary with DelPurgatorio and actors Kue Lawrence and Kai Cech. The disc also includes a deleted scene and a featurette, Filming the Dream Sequence.

Two of DelPurgatorio's early short films round out the disc: Other (2012, 15 mins) and Body(s) (2015, 18 mins). The package adds video podcast interviews, storyboards, a behind-the-scenes stills gallery, and script pages.

The cast pairs newcomers with familiar genre faces. Kue Lawrence, of Sketch, plays Morgan, and Kai Cech, of Dear Santa, plays Pilar. Corbin Bernsen, of The Dentist, co-stars alongside Giorgia Whigham, Pierson Fode, and Paul Soter.

Marshmallow releases on Blu-ray on September 15, 2026 in the US and Canada, and on September 14, 2026 in the UK. It is part of Toy Robot Video's September 2026 releases.
