Historical Context & Controversy

Upon release, SS Experiment Love Camp drew attention for its publicity materials, including a poster depicting a semi-naked woman crucified upside down. The film was banned in the UK during the 1980s as part of the “video nasties” list and was subject to prosecution under the Obscene Publications Act. It was later passed uncut by the British Board of Film Classification.

Nearly five decades after its release, SS Experiment Love Camp remains one of the most talked-about entries in the Nazisploitation cycle. 88 Films’ new edition is available to pre-order at DiabolikDVD ahead of its Oct. 14 release in the U.S. and Canada, and Oct. 27 in the UK.
