The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) Comes to 4K UHD from Kino Lorber in March
Kino Lorber is releasing The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) on 4K UHD under its KL Studio Classics line. The classic comedy, and fourth film in The Pink Panther series, arrives in March and features a new master sourced from the original camera negative.
Film Overview
Directed by Blake Edwards, The Return of the Pink Panther brought Peter Sellers back to the role of Inspector Jacques Clouseau for the first time since A Shot in the Dark (1964). Sellers had previously declined to appear in Inspector Clouseau (1968), making this film a significant revival for both the character and the series.
The story centers once again on the theft of the Pink Panther diamond. After the jewel is stolen from the fictional country of Lugash, Inspector Clouseau is reinstated and dispatched to recover it. His investigation brings him into conflict with Sir Charles Litton, Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus, and a series of international adversaries, all while Clouseau’s trademark mishaps escalate across Europe.

The 4K UHD disc features a brand new HDR and Dolby Vision master sourced from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The disc is presented on a triple-layered UHD100 disc and includes optional English subtitles.
The Blu-ray disc features a brand new HD master created from the same 4K scan of the original camera negative. The Blu-ray is authored on a dual-layered BD50 disc and includes optional English subtitles.
