Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains 4K UHD/Blu-ray Limited Deluxe Edition from Fun City Editions
Fun City Editions is bringing Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains to 4K UHD and Blu-ray for the first time. The 1982 punk cult classic arrives later this year in a strictly limited deluxe edition, sold exclusively through the Fun City Editions website. Newly restored from its original 35mm negative, this marks the film’s worldwide 4K UHD debut.
Punk cult favorite makes 4K debut
Directed by Lou Adler (Up in Smoke), the film follows Corinne Burns (Diane Lane), her sister Tracy (Marin Kanter), and cousin Jessica (Laura Dern) as they form The Stains. Touring with fading glam rockers The Metal Corpses and working-class English punks The Looters, the girls become overnight stars through media hype and Corinne’s raw stage presence.
The film skewers fame, fandom, and exploitation in the music business. Once dismissed, it has since earned a cult following as a feminist punk landmark and a sharp commentary on celebrity culture.
