Indicator/Powerhouse Films is releasing Four Times That Night (1971) and Macabre (1980) on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in June. Both titles feature new 4K restorations from the original camera negatives and include Dolby Vision/HDR presentations. Each release includes a limited edition exclusive 80-page book. Four Times That Night (1971)

Directed by Mario Bava (Bay of Blood), Four Times That Night (Quante volte... quella notte) is an Italian commedia sexy all'italiana take on Rashomon. The film stars Brett Halsey (A Cat in the Brain) and Daniela Giordano (Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key).

Handsome model John (Halsey) takes the virginal Tina (Giordano) on a date. When Tina returns to her overbearing mother in tears, her dress in tatters, everyone has a different account of what really happened that night.

The supporting cast includes Pascale Petit (A Queen for Caesar), Valeria Sabel (The Godfather Part III), and Dick Randall (The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield), who also produced. The film features a soundtrack by Lallo Gori (The Sinful Nuns of Saint Valentine).

The 4K UHD and Blu-ray release of Four Times That Night (1971) features a new 4K restoration from the camera negative by Powerhouse Films. The disc includes a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation. Audio options include the original English and Italian mono soundtracks. The release includes new and improved English translation subtitles and new and improved English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Macabre (1980)

Macabre (Macabro) is the solo directorial debut of Lamberto Bava, son of and assistant to Mario Bava. The film stars Bernice Stegers (Xtro) and Stanko Molnar (A Blade in the Dark).

Traumatized by the deaths of both her son and her lover, Fred (Roberto Posse), Jane (Stegers) retreats to a boarding house run by the blind Robert (Molnar), where she builds a shrine to Fred and passionately calls his name when she is alone in her room. Both Robert and Jane's daughter Lucy (Veronica Zinny) sense that something strange is going on and begin to investigate her bizarre behaviour.

The film is co-written by Pupi Avati (The House with Laughing Windows) and lensed by Franco Delli Colli (What Have They Done to Your Daughters?). The restoration is co-produced by Powerhouse Films and Vinegar Syndrome.
