DeepStar Six 4K UHD and Blu-ray from STUDIOCANAL

STUDIOCANAL is releasing DeepStar Six (1989) on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in June as part of its Cult Classics Collection. The UK release features a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative, completed by STUDIOCANAL in 2025. The release includes a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation of the film alongside an extensive set of bonus features.

Film Overview

Directed by Sean S. Cunningham, DeepStar Six (1989) follows a group of U.S. Navy engineers led by Capt. Laidlaw (Taurean Blacque) as they construct an underwater base. When the crew inadvertently disturbs the lair of a gigantic creature, the monster attacks and the facility is badly damaged.

As the exterior is breached, the increasingly desperate crew, including lovers Collins (Nancy Everhard) and McBride (Greg Evigan), becomes separated. The creature begins to pick them off one by one as they struggle to evacuate.
