STUDIOCANAL is releasing Manhunter: The Final Cut (1985) on 4K UHD as a 4-disc limited edition collector’s set. Michael Mann, who wrote and directed the film, oversaw this new “Final Cut” restoration himself. “This latest iteration is that version of the film with which I’m most satisfied,” Mann said.

Description

William Petersen plays a retired profiler who returns to the FBI to track a serial killer preying on families.

He turns to an imprisoned expert for help: Brian Cox plays Dr. Hannibal Lecktor. Tom Noonan plays the killer, and Joan Allen plays his blind love interest. Manhunter is the third film Mann wrote and directed, adapting the first of Thomas Harris’s four novels about the character.
