Kino Lorber Studio Classics is bringing William Friedkin’s psychological thriller Rampage to 4K UHD and Blu-ray this October, featuring both the original 1987 director’s cut and the 1992 theatrical version, newly restored from 4K scans and presented with new bonus features.

Synopsis

Directed by William Friedkin (The Exorcist, To Live and Die in L.A.), Rampage stars Alex McArthur as Charles Reece, a seemingly upstanding young man who commits a brutal string of murders. Michael Biehn plays Anthony Fraser, a district attorney determined to pursue the death penalty, even though it goes against his personal beliefs.

The film originally premiered in 1987 in Friedkin’s director’s cut, but was shelved for five years. In 1992, Miramax released a recut version, shortened by five minutes. Kino Lorber’s upcoming edition includes both versions, fully restored from new 4K scans.
