Lionsgate Limited Confirms Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 4K UHD Release

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 4K UHD has been officially confirmed for physical media release from Lionsgate Limited.
The confirmation comes via an interview conducted by Jake from Steelbook Obsessed with Aaron Gershman, Creative Advertising Senior Vice President at Lionsgate. During the discussion, Gershman stated that Lionsgate Limited is preparing a 4K UHD package release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair scheduled to arrive later this year.
According to Gershman, the release is planned as a deluxe box set rather than a Steelbook. The strategy mirrors Lionsgate’s recent Dogma release, with both a simpler retail edition and a more elaborate collector-focused box set in development. Gershman indicated that the box set will include additional physical content, though specific details were not disclosed.
Disc configuration is still being finalized. Gershman explained that the team is evaluating whether the nearly five-hour feature can fit on a single 4K UHD disc without sacrificing quality. If image quality would be compromised, the release will instead span multiple discs. Final authoring decisions remain ongoing.
Packaging development is being handled internally at Lionsgate, with active collaboration from Quentin Tarantino’s team. Gershman noted that ideas have been exchanged between both parties and that the project is beginning to settle into a final creative direction.
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair presents Tarantino’s complete version of Kill Bill, combining Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single presentation. The cut includes previously deleted scenes, alternate takes, a full-color remaster of the Crazy 88 sequence, a seven-minute anime segment produced by Production I.G., and a built-in intermission.
No technical specifications, pricing, or final packaging details have been locked in at this time, but stay tuned to Physical Media News as additional information about Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 4K UHD is released.
