Lionsgate Limited and Vestron Video will release Albert Pyun’s Kickboxer 2: The Road Back on Blu-ray later this year.
The 1991 martial arts sequel stars Sasha Mitchell as David Sloan, the younger brother of Kurt and Eric Sloan. Peter Boyle, Dennis Chan, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and John Diehl also star.
Kickboxer 2 follows David as he struggles to keep his Los Angeles kickboxing gym running after Tong Po kills his brothers. Corrupt promoters and Tong Po’s associates draw David back into the fight, while trainer Xian Chow helps prepare him for another confrontation with Tong Po.
Albert Pyun directed Kickboxer 2 from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film followed the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme movie Kickboxer, with Mitchell taking over as the series’ lead.
