Antenna Releasing Announces Launch and First Acquisition, Stolen Kingdom, for 2026 Release

Antenna Releasing has announced its official launch as a new boutique film distribution company and revealed its first acquisition, Stolen Kingdom, an award-winning documentary scheduled for release in 2026.
The company enters the marketplace with a stated focus on curated theatrical engagements and filmmaker-focused physical media releases, including Blu-ray, 4K, and DVD. Antenna Releasing positions its mission around challenging prevailing independent distribution models, with an emphasis on stronger revenue splits, direct filmmaker involvement, and absorbing certain costs that are often passed on to creators.
Antenna Releasing was founded by producer and physical media advocate Ryan Verrill, filmmaker and festival strategist Billy Ray Brewton, and writer-director Francis Galluppi. Verrill will oversee the company’s physical media strategy, while Brewton will lead acquisitions across theatrical, VOD, streaming, and physical media platforms. Galluppi will also play a role in shaping the company’s Short Supply imprint, a curated shorts program spotlighting filmmakers from around the world.
The company’s inaugural acquisition, Stolen Kingdom, is a documentary that explores incidents of mischief, scandal, and theft at Walt Disney World, culminating in the disappearance of an animatronic reportedly valued at nearly half a million dollars. The film world-premiered at the 2025 Big Sky Film Festival and went on to screen at the Slamdance Film Festival as part of a wider festival run.
According to the announcement, Stolen Kingdom is planned for a Spring 2026 roadshow theatrical release, followed by VOD and streaming availability and an expansive physical media rollout. Antenna Releasing stated that its physical media strategy will prioritize curated editions and close collaboration with filmmakers.
In addition to its first acquisition, Antenna Releasing confirmed that multiple titles have already been signed. The company will also have a presence at the 2026 Sundance and Slamdance film festivals, with its first theatrical release scheduled to launch in Spring 2026.
