Chameleon Films will release Accident (2009) on Blu-ray. The film arrives as spine 009 in the Chameleon Films catalog and will be available in a standard edition and a special edition with an exclusive CD soundtrack. The announcement comes alongside the label’s upcoming Blu-ray of Johnnie To’s A Hero Never Dies, continuing its focus on Hong Kong cinema.

About the film

Accident (2009) is a Hong Kong thriller directed by Soi Cheang and runs 87 minutes. The story follows a team of assassins that stages elaborate killings to look like mishaps. Louis Koo plays Brain, the team's leader, and a meticulous planner whose ordered world begins to fracture. Paranoia takes hold as he begins to suspect that he’s become the target of his own setup.

Both versions come in a numbered cardboard slipcase without classification markings. Inside is a Scanavo full-sleeved 14mm clear case with a reversible sleeve featuring newly created and original poster artwork. The Special Edition upgrades to a 2-disc Scanavo case with the CD artwork promotional strip printed on a removable o-card, not directly on the slipcase.

Video and audio specifications

The disc presents the film in 1080p color at 2.35:1 on a BD-50. Audio options include Cantonese DTS-HD MA 5.1 and LPCM 2.0, with English subtitles.
