Terror Express 4K UHD from Severin Films

Severin Films is bringing Ferdinando Baldi's Terror Express (1979) to 4K UHD + Blu-ray in June, releasing the two-disc Limited Edition during the label's Severin Summer Sale. It marks the worldwide UHD premiere of the film.

A Last House on the Left variant and a DPP Section 3 Video Nasty in the vein of Severin's other Italian genre 4K premieres, Terror Express follows a trio of sociopaths who board an overnight express train. One car's passengers and crew are forced into an orgy of violence, vengeance and off-the-rails perversion. The screenplay comes from Luigi Montefiori, better known as George Eastman of Anthropophagous. Baldi, who also directed Comin' At Ya! and Nine Guests for a Crime, casts Silvia Dionisio, Werner Pochath, Zora Kerova, Fausto Lombardi and Gianluigi Chirizzi.

Severin scanned the film uncut in 4K from the original camera negative, framed at its original 1.66:1 aspect ratio. Audio is offered in both English Mono and Italian Mono, with the Italian version running 84 minutes.

Three interviews are on the Blu-ray. "Plotting The Tracks" talks to writer Luigi Montefiori, "A Trainwreck Of A Movie" features actress Zora Kerova, and "The End Of The Line" sits down with actor Carlo De Mejo. A trailer appears on both the UHD and the Blu-ray to round out the extras.

The Limited Edition comes with a slipcover designed by Eric Adrian Lee.

Terror Express is region free (Region A/B/C) and includes closed captions and English subtitles. It is the sixth Severin Summer Sale 2026 title reveal. The sale begins June 26, 2026.
