Vampire Circus 4K Blu-ray from Imprint Films

Imprint Films is releasing Vampire Circus (1972) on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in February. It features a new 4K restoration sourced from the original 35mm negative and marks the worldwide UHD debut of the Hammer Horror title.

Vampire Circus joins Imprint Films’ February slate, which also includes the 4K edition of Spellbinder (1988) and the label’s first Golden Princess releases including City on Fire (1987), Peking Opera Blues (1986), and A Chinese Ghost Story trilogy set.

Film Overview

Directed by Robert Young and written by Jud Kinberg, Vampire Circus features Adrienne Corri, Laurence Payne, Thorley Walters, and John Moulder-Brown. The story centers on a travelling circus whose leader seeks to revive his vampire cousin, believed to have been destroyed fifteen years earlier by the villagers of Schtettel.

Video and Audio Specs

The 4K UHD disc features a Dolby Vision 2160p ultra high definition presentation of the new 4K restoration with an aspect ratio of 1.66:1. The Blu-ray disc presents the film in 1080p high definition.
Both discs include English LPCM 2.0 Mono audio with optional English HOH subtitles.

Editions and Packaging

The release is housed in a Limited Edition Hardbox and includes an exclusive 80-page hardcover booklet featuring original production stills. It is limited to 1,500 copies.
