Spellbinder (1988) Coming to 4K UHD & Blu-ray from Imprint Films

Imprint Films is releasing Spellbinder (1988) in a 4K UHD + Blu-ray Limited Edition Hardbox in February. The release presents a new 4K restoration sourced from the original camera negative.
It arrives alongside Imprint Films’ first wave of Golden Princess titles, including new 4K and Blu-ray editions of City on Fire (1987), Peking Opera Blues (1986), and a Limited Edition Blu-ray collection of the A Chinese Ghost Story trilogy.
Overview
Spellbinder is written by Tracy Tormé and directed by Janet Greek. The cast includes Tim Daly, Kelly Preston, and Rick Rossovich. The story follows L.A. attorney Jeff Mills, who rescues a woman he has never met and becomes entangled in a dangerous supernatural plot.
Video and Audio Specs
The 4K UHD disc features a Dolby Vision 2160p ultra high definition presentation of the new 4K restoration. The Blu-ray disc presents the same restoration in 1080p. Both discs are framed at 1.85:1 and include English LPCM 2.0 Stereo audio with optional English HOH subtitles.

Editions and Packaging
The release is housed in a Limited Edition Hardbox. It includes a 70-page hardback booklet with production stills and a new essay by Heidi Honeycutt. A 200-page softcover reproduction of the original shooting script is also included, complete with handwritten notes, sketches, and storyboards.
Release Date and Availability
Spellbinder releases February 25, 2026. It is limited to 1500 copies and is currently available to pre-order from the Imprint Films webstore.
