Radiance Films January 2026 Releases

Radiance Films opens 2026 with three limited-edition Blu-ray restorations from Italy, Japan, and France: Illustrious Corpses, Blood of Revenge, and The Wild Child. The lineup follows last month’s Radiance Films December Blu-ray releases and the launch of Transmission, the label’s new UK Blu-ray imprint. The January titles arrive alongside other releases that month, including Lionheart 4K Blu-ray and Knock Off (1998) 4K Blu-ray from MVD. Each film has been newly restored and includes archival features, new interviews, and collector packaging.

Illustrious Corpses (1976)

Francesco Rosi’s political thriller follows Inspector Rogas (Lino Ventura, Army of Shadows) as he investigates the murders of Supreme Court judges. Adapted from Leonardo Sciascia’s novel, the film exposes corruption within state institutions. The cast includes Charles Vanel, Max von Sydow, and Fernando Rey, with a score by Piero Piccioni.

Restoration and audio

Restored in 4K by Cineteca di Bologna and The Film Foundation. Includes the original uncompressed mono PCM audio.
