Error 4444 announces December Blu-ray lineup

Error 4444 has unveiled an ambitious slate of genre releases set to ship in early to mid-December. The label is preparing five limited edition Blu-rays that range from DIY holiday horror and Thai thrillers to Japanese auteur cinema and Taiwanese martial arts. Collectors can look forward to Two Front Teeth, Countdown, Nami Collection, Art of the Devil Trilogy, and Challenge of the Lady Ninja.

For fans of boutique horror and cult cinema, this slate follows in the footsteps of other recent releases like Terror Vision’s Best Worst Movie / The American Scream Blu-ray set and Patchwork 3-Disc Deluxe Edition.

Two Front Teeth Limited Edition Blu Ray

Two Front Teeth (2005) arrives in a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray limited to 1,500 units. The release is region free (A/B/C) and comes housed in a newly commissioned wraparound slipcover by Justin Coffee. Extras include a booklet with an essay by Brennan Dortch, three stickers with new art by Bimo, and a reversible sleeve with art by KIT.

Special features highlight both new and archival material:

Blending gore gags and humor, the film follows a tabloid reporter who stumbles onto a Christmas conspiracy, unleashing killer elves on a small town. Shot in Maryland with a DIY sensibility and a passion for 80s horror, the movie embodies the scrappy spirit of low-budget filmmaking.

Countdown Limited Edition Blu Ray

Nattawut Poonpiriya’s Countdown (2012), best known as the director’s precursor to Bad Genius, is making its North American Blu-ray debut. This Collector’s Edition is limited to 1,500 units and region free (A/B/C).

The packaging features new artwork by legendary Thai poster artist Jinda, a booklet essay, three stickers with art by Bimo, and a reversible sleeve with original poster art.

Special features include:

The film centers on three Thai students living in New York City who invite a drug dealer named “Jesus” to their apartment on New Year’s Eve, leading to a night of escalating terror. David Asavanond delivers a demented turn as “Jesus,” anchoring a story that blends horror with commentary on religion and morality.

Error 4444 will debut four films by Takashi Ishii on Blu-ray for the first time in North America with the Nami Collection. This limited edition box set is capped at 2,000 units and region free (A/B/C).

The collection includes Original Sin (1992), A Night in Nude (1993), Angel Guts: Red Flash (1994), and Alone in the Night (1994). Packaging features original poster artwork by Ishii across four slipcovers, a side-loading chipboard box, a booklet with two essays, an 18x24 double-sided poster, eight lobby cards, and reversible sleeves.

Bonus features vary by film, including interviews with Ishii, actors Shinobu Otake, Kippei Shiina, Naoto Takenaka, and Jinpachi Nezu, along with producers and crew. Commentaries come from Frankie Balboa, Jasper Sharp, and Samm Deighan. A video essay titled “The Many Faces of Nami” is also included.

These Japanese releases follow other notable imports announced recently, such as New Wave Video’s Noriko’s Dinner Table and UROTSUKIDŌJI – The Perfect Collection.

Each film showcases Ishii’s blend of noir stylings, psychological trauma, and haunting character studies. Highlights range from the tense romantic drama of Original Sin to the rain-soaked noir of A Night in Nude and the disturbing revenge narrative of Alone in the Night.
