Third Window Films is releasing Crazy Lips / Gore from Outer Space on Blu-ray in September, the first time either Omega Pictures J-horror film has been released on the format. The 2-disc special edition is limited to 2,000 units, and both films come with new director-approved restorations.

Hirohisa Sasaki directed the pair for Japan’s Omega Pictures, the studio behind Audition and Love Exposure. Takashige Ichise, who produced Ju-on and Dark Water, produced both films, and Hiroshi Takahashi, writer of The Ring series, wrote the scripts.
About Crazy Lips (2000)
Satomi and her family are hounded by the press when her brother is accused of a vicious killing spree. Desperate to prove his innocence, Satomi goes to a psychic for help. The price the psychic asks is far more than she expected, and the answers they give her are nothing she could ever have imagined.
About Gore from Outer Space (2001)
Just before being lead to the electric chair for the murder of her daughter Misato, Satomi tells her story to a nun. It began with no one believing Satomi’s story of the kidnapping of her daughter.
