You Must Be Joking! (1965) Blu-ray Announced by Indicator
Indicator has revealed Michael Winner’s You Must Be Joking! as part of its February 2026 lineup. The 1965 British comedy will make its world-premiere Blu-ray debut, limited to 3,000 copies.
A race across 1960s Britain
A group of soldiers is thrown into chaos when Army psychologist Major Foskett (Terry-Thomas) challenges them to a nationwide scavenger hunt. The rules are simple: collect six symbols of British life within 48 hours. The result is a fast-paced, offbeat adventure packed with eccentric characters, including performances from Michael Callan, Lionel Jeffries, and Denholm Elliott.
Directed by Michael Winner (The System) and written by Alan Hackney, the film captures the playful spirit of 1960s British comedy. Produced by Charles H. Schneer, known for The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, it features cameos from familiar faces across the UK film industry.
Blu-ray details
The Blu-ray features a High Definition remaster and original mono audio, along with a new commentary by film historians Kevin Lyons and Jonathan Rigby. Additional content includes archival audio recordings with director Michael Winner, title designer Bob Godfrey, and editor Bernard Gribble, plus a collector booklet with new writing by Michael Pattison and period production materials.
This Region B release also includes English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, a theatrical trailer, and an image gallery.

You Must Be Joking! will be released on February 16, 2026, alongside The Man Inside, Idle on Parade, and Jazz Boat as part of Indicator’s February 2026 releases. It is currently available to pre-order from powerhousefilms.co.uk.
