Walking Tall (2004) 4K UHD + Blu-ray Announced by Kino Lorber
Kino Lorber has announced a 4K UHD and Blu-ray release of Walking Tall (2004), directed by Kevin Bray and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The release arrives Dec. 9, 2025, under the KL Studio Classics line.
This follows other recent announcements such as Death Wish Collection, Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks (1976) coming to 4K UHD, and Kino Lorber’s French Noir Collection II arriving in November.
About the film
Walking Tall follows decorated military officer Chris Vaughn (Johnson) as he returns to his small hometown in Washington, only to find corruption has taken hold. The local lumber mill has closed, replaced by a casino run by his former classmate, played by Neal McDonough. With the help of his loyal friend, portrayed by Johnny Knoxville, Vaughn takes justice into his own hands—armed with a two-by-four and a relentless sense of duty.
The cast also includes Ashley Scott, Kristen Wilson, Khleo Thomas, John Beasley, Barbara Tarbuck, Kevin Durand, and Michael Bowen. The film runs 86 minutes and is rated MA15+.
