Transmission Lines Up Two World Premieres for July, Including Nicolas Cage at His Most Unhinged

Transmission, an imprint of Radiance Films, has two titles lined up for July, and both are world premieres on their respective formats. Vampire's Kiss (1988) is making its first ever appearance on 4K UHD with a director-approved presentation, while Two Boxes: Televised Terror in Franco's Spain brings two infamous Spanish television films to Blu-ray for the first time.
Vampire's Kiss (1988)
Nicolas Cage plays a yuppie literary agent who becomes convinced he's turning into a vampire after a violent one-night stand in Vampire's Kiss, and Transmission is bringing the film to 4K UHD for the first time ever. Director Robert Bierman signed off on this new presentation, and he sat down for a new interview included on the disc.
You also get Bierman's short film The Dumb Waiter (1979), which is a nice addition for anyone wanting to dig into his earlier work. A new interview with composer Colin Towns is included as well.
Vampire's Kiss releases July 20, 2026.
Two Boxes: Televised Terror in Franco's Spain (1972/1974)
Transmission's second July title pairs two Spanish television films from the early 1970s on Blu-ray, with La cabina (1972) making its world Blu-ray premiere. Both films were produced as Spain bristled against the dying Franco dictatorship, drawing on the mystery-horror anthology tradition to depict that era with dark humor and unsettling clarity.
In La cabina, a man steps into a telephone box and finds himself unable to leave, trapped at the mercy of fascinated locals as his desperation grows. El televisor (1974) follows a suburban man whose dream of owning his own TV curdles into a dangerous obsession.
As for extras, La cabina gets a new audio commentary by Inside No. 9 creators Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, while El televisor features a new audio commentary by critics and horror experts Jonathan Rigby and Kevin Lyons.
Two Boxes: Televised Terror in Franco's Spain releases July 20, 2026.
Preorders for both of Transmission's July titles go live on the Radiance Films website on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11am BST.
