Visual Vengeance brings The Paranormal to Blu-ray for the first time this March
Visual Vengeance is releasing The Paranormal (1998) on Blu-ray this March, marking the first time the film has ever been available on disc. This release features a new director supervised transfer from the original tape elements.
Colony Mutation will also be releasing this March from Visual Vengeance.
Film Overview
Something is haunting the Englewood movie theater – an unseen force that comes alive after dark. Paranormal investigator Kyle Jennings is called in, but the moment he steps inside, the nightmare begins. The theater seals itself shut, the screen tears open like a doorway, and the low budget zombie movie playing suddenly becomes real. With the undead spilling into the aisles, Kyle must uncover the source of the disturbance before the entire theater becomes a feeding ground, and the only clues may be trapped inside the film itself.
Long overlooked and scarcely distributed, Todd Norris’ The Paranormal is one of the great “lost” achievements of the SOV era. Smart, sharply structured, and performed with an unexpected level of polish, it pushes well beyond the scrappy expectations of its budget. Packaging and Extras
The Paranormal Collector's Edition Blu-ray includes a reversible sleeve using the original VHS artwork, a folded mini poster with art by Giorgio Credaro, and a set of “Stick Your Own” VHS stickers. First pressing copies also include an O card designed by Uncle Frank, a limited edition Ghost Finder viewer, and a promo flyer for the fictional in universe film Z is for Zombie.
