The Devil’s Nightmare 4K Blu-ray Makes Its Worldwide 4K Debut from Mondo Macabro
Mondo Macabro will release The Devil’s Nightmare on 4K UHD Blu-ray, marking the film’s worldwide 4K debut. The new restoration is sourced from the original camera negative.
Description
A busload of tourists on holiday find themselves on an unexpected journey into the macabre when their vehicle breaks down near a remote castle. Seeking food and shelter, they encounter Baron von Runberg, a man cursed by an ancient family affliction that soon ensnares his unsuspecting guests. As the travelers sit down for dinner, a mysterious woman arrives, setting in motion a deadly chain of events.
This Gothic horror film from Belgium stars Erika Blanc, Shirley Corrigan (Crimes of the Black Cat), Jean Servais (Rififi), and Daniel Emilfork, under the direction of Jean Brismée. Noted for its blend of sex and supernatural terror, The Devil’s Nightmare remains a distinctive entry in early 1970s European genre cinema.
