Terror Vision Releasing Best Worst Movie / The American Scream Blu-ray Set
Terror Vision will release two of Michael Paul Stephenson’s acclaimed documentaries on Blu-ray this November in a new two-disc set. Best Worst Movie (2009) and The American Scream (2012) will be presented in 1080p high definition across two region-free discs, housed in a limited-edition slipcover designed by Earl Kessler and capped at 2,000 copies. The set follows Terror Vision’s other recent announcements including Patchwork (2015) 3-Disc Deluxe Edition and Hide and Go Shriek in 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
Best Worst Movie (2009)
Stephenson’s Best Worst Movie explores the unlikely cult following of Troll 2, the 1990 fantasy-horror often called one of the worst films ever made. The documentary follows George Hardy, a small-town Alabama dentist who starred as the father in Troll 2. Nearly two decades later, Hardy reconnects with castmates, revisits the film’s chaotic production, and discovers how devoted fans transformed the movie into a midnight-movie phenomenon.
The American Scream (2012)
The American Scream shifts the focus to three families in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, who spend months transforming their homes into elaborate haunted houses for Halloween. The film highlights the artistry and obsession of the “home haunter” community, while also capturing the bonds and joy that come from shared creativity.
