Old Gold Media Releasing The Sweeney Series 4 on Blu-ray this February
Old Gold Media is releasing The Sweeney Series 4 on Blu-ray in February 2026. The release presents the final run of episodes with a new restoration and a set of archival and newly produced bonus materials.
Overview
The Sweeney Series 4 follows Detective Inspector Jack Regan and Detective Sergeant George Carter through cases involving a threatened kidnapping, a vision of Regan’s death, and a search for an informant after a police shooting. Regan also faces accusations of corruption while their boss, Haskins, deals with his wife’s mental illness. The season is newly restored and remastered in its original TV aspect ratio.
Video and Audio Specs
The Blu-ray includes a new restoration sourced from the original 16mm A/B negatives. Audio options include the original mono mix, a 5.1 surround sound mix, or isolated music-only tracks.

The Sweeney Series 4 follows Old Gold Media’s recent work on the earlier seasons, including the 50th anniversary editions of Series Three arriving in December 2025 and Series Two released on Blu-ray this past September.
