North Sea Is Death Sea Will Make Its North American Blu-ray Debut from Severin Films

Severin Films is bringing North Sea Is Death Sea to Blu-ray. It marks the North American disc premiere. The release features a 4K scan from the original camera negative, new filmmaker contributions, and a 40-page booklet aimed at collectors. The announcement arrives alongside news that Adam and Eve is also getting a Blu-ray release from Severin Films, with both titles going on sale Black Friday, November 28.
Film background
Directed by Hark Bohm, a co-founder of Filmverlag der Autoren alongside Wim Wenders and Rainer Werner Fassbinder, North Sea Is Death Sea follows 13-year-old Uwe, a Hamburg teen living with an abusive father. After discovering his Asian classmate has built a raft from scrap wood, the pair plans to escape and sail to the North Sea. Performances by Uwe Bohm and Dschingis Bowakow lead the cast, with Marquard Bohm co-starring.
