Umbrella is releasing Looking for Alibrandi on Blu-ray in March as a Collector’s Edition. The release features a new 25th anniversary restoration of the award-winning film.

It arrives as part of Umbrella’s wider March lineup, which also includes No Escape (1994) on 4K UHD, The Dirties (2013) Blu-ray, the Super Moon Collection, and the 4K UHD and Blu-ray set for I Spit On Your Grave and I Spit On Your Grave: Déjà Vu.

Film overview

Set within Sydney’s Italian-Australian community, Looking for Alibrandi is a coming-of-age story about identity, family, and finding your place in the world. The film follows high school senior Josephine Alibrandi as she navigates the unexpected return of her estranged father, a budding relationship with the affluent school captain John, and a growing connection with Jacob, a rebellious student who challenges her worldview. The film is directed by Kate Woods and stars Anthony LaPaglia, Greta Scacchi, Kick Gurry, Matthew Newton, and Pia Miranda.

The release contains one Blu-ray disc and presents the film in 1080p with a 16:9 aspect ratio and an image ratio of 1.85:1. English audio is offered in both 5.1 and 2.0, and English subtitles are included.
