Laid to Rest (2009) Limited Edition Blu-ray Announced by Last Slate Video

Last Slate Video will release Laid to Rest on Blu-ray at the end of October. Directed by Robert Hall, the 2009 film is a cult slasher known for its practical effects, inventive kills, and chrome-masked villain, ChromeSkull. The label will also issue Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 on Blu-ray, giving both entries in the series a new high-definition home release.

This limited edition includes a fresh HD master and an array of exclusive extras for collectors.

About the film

A young woman wakes up in a coffin with no memory of her identity. Soon, she becomes the target of a sadistic killer who records his murders on video. With help from strangers, she fights to survive and uncover who she is before the night ends.

Hall, a veteran makeup and effects artist, fills Laid to Rest with handcrafted gore and relentless tension. The film’s fast pace and grisly set pieces helped it earn cult status among horror fans and solidify its place in 2000s independent horror.
