Jazz Boat (1960) Limited Edition Blu-ray Announced by Indicator

Indicator has announced Ken Hughes’ Jazz Boat as part of its February 2026 lineup. The 1960 musical crime comedy will receive its world-premiere Blu-ray release, limited to 3,000 copies.
A mix of crime, comedy, and rhythm
Anthony Newley stars as Bert Harris, a small-time crook whose tall tales about his criminal skills land him in the middle of a real jewel heist. When the job goes wrong, he and his girlfriend (played by Anne Aubrey) find themselves hiding on a river cruise while evading both the gang and Detective Sergeant Thompson (Lionel Jeffries).
Directed by Ken Hughes (The Long Haul) and co-written by John Antrobus, Jazz Boat blends crime caper with pop culture flair. Shot by Nicolas Roeg, the film captures the atmosphere of early 1960s Britain and features performances by Ted Heath and His Music, one of the country’s most popular big bands.
