Inquisition 4K Blu-ray Announced by Mondo Macabro

Mondo Macabro will release Paul Naschy’s Inquisition as a limited UHD edition sourced from a new 4K restoration. The label notes this upgrade was made possible by fresh access to the original camera negative after an earlier HD master from eight years ago failed to meet their standards.

The disc offers a 2160p presentation from the new 4K restoration of the original camera negative, with a choice of English or Spanish audio and optional newly translated English subtitles.

About the film
Set in 16th-century France, Inquisitor and magistrate Bernard de Fossey arrives in plague-stricken Peyriac to root out alleged witchcraft. Desire, betrayal, and false accusations fuel a wave of torture and executions. After a mysterious death, Catherine turns to Satan to avenge her enemies, with de Fossey squarely in her sights.
This film marks Paul Naschy’s directorial debut, with Naschy playing de Fossey, the Devil, and the Grim Reaper.
Mondo Macabro's Halloween sale will also see pre-orders open for Aswang Blu-ray, Island of the Doomed Blu-ray, Mystics in Bali / Queen of Black Magic 2-Disc Blu-ray, and The Devil’s Nightmare 4K Blu-ray.
