Imprint Films to release The Beastmaster and The Sword and the Sorcerer this January
Imprint Films has announced two January 2026 releases, bringing The Beastmaster (1982) and The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) to 4K UHD and Blu-ray. Both titles arrive on January 7, 2026, as Limited Edition SteelBooks housed in 3D lenticular hardcases with double-sided posters. Each release is limited to 1,500 copies.
The announcement follows Imprint’s recent schedule of collector editions, including the upcoming Kill Bill: Volume 1 & 2 Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray Set Releasing Dec. 10 and their November 2025 Blu-ray lineup featuring Withnail and I, Fish Tank, and The Lightship.
The Beastmaster (1982)
Directed by Don Coscarelli and based on the 1959 novel by Andre Norton, The Beastmaster stars Marc Singer, Tanya Roberts, Rip Torn, and John Amos. The film follows Dar, a warrior who can communicate with animals, as he seeks revenge against the dark sorcerers who destroyed his family.

The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)
Albert Pyun’s directorial debut stars Lee Horsley, Kathleen Beller, Simon MacCorkindale, George Maharis, Richard Lynch, and Richard Moll. The story follows Talon, a mercenary wielding a three-bladed sword, who discovers his royal lineage and battles an evil sorcerer to reclaim his kingdom.
