Umbrella Entertainment is releasing Ebony and Ivory on Blu-ray in March as a Collector’s Edition.

The release joins several other titles arriving from Umbrella in March, including the 4K and Blu-ray edition of No Escape (1994), the Blu-ray release of The Dirties (2013), the multi-volume Super Moon Collection on Blu-ray, the 4K and Blu-ray set for I Spit On Your Grave and Déjà Vu, and the Blu-ray Collector’s Edition of Looking for Alibrandi (2000).

Film overview

From director Jim Hosking (The Greasy Strangler), Ebony and Ivory offers a surreal and absurd reimagining of a meeting between two major musical figures. In 1981, two musical legends gather on the remote Mull of Kintyre for a tense creative summit, surrounded by the smell of breaded vegetarian food and the possibility of a global hit single taking shape.

At his Scottish cottage, Paul hosts a perpetually enraged Stevie for what should be a straightforward collaboration, but every interaction seems to clash with Stevie’s sensibilities as the session grows more strained and off-kilter. The film is directed by Jim Hosking and stars Gil Gex and Sky Elobar.
