Dark Force Entertainment Announces Brute Corps 4K Blu-ray

Dark Force Entertainment is bringing Brute Corps to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The 1971 exploitation film will be available to pre-order on Black Friday 2025 as the 12th release in the publisher's Platinum Series.
Brute Corps marks Jerry Jameson's directorial debut. The film follows a draft dodger and a hitchhiker who encounter violent mercenaries in Mexico. General Film Corporation originally released the film, but it never received a VHS release. Code Red released Brute Corps on Blu-ray in December 2015 as a Screen Archives Entertainment webstore exclusive.
The Film
Draft dodger Kevin and hitchhiker Terry travel through Mexico. They encounter American mercenaries awaiting their next mission. The mercenaries, led by the Colonel, consume alcohol and marijuana while displaying violent impulses.
The group's most savage member, Wicks, attempts to attack Terry. The other mercenaries propose fighting each other for access to the woman. Kevin escapes to find help, but local law enforcement proves unhelpful. The number of mercenaries begins to dwindle as the situation escalates.
General Film Corporation's release had limited distribution. Shot on locations similar to those used in Harry Novak sexploitation films from the same period, Brute Corps features the nudity, violence and uneven pacing typical of drive-in exploitation cinema.
The Cast
Brute Corps features veteran character actors:
- Paul Carr (Ben) as Ross
- Joseph Kaufmann (Johnny Got His Gun) as Kevin
- Alex Rocco (Motor Psycho) as Wicks
- Jennifer Billingsley (Lady in a Cage) as Terry
- Michael Pataki (Grave of the Vampire) as MacFarlane
- Charles Macaulay (Blacula) as The Colonel
- Roy Jenson as Quinn
- Felton Perry as Hill
- Joseph Bernard as Sheriff Alvarez
- Parker West as Ballard
Technical specs, special features and the exact release date are yet to be announced. This post will be updated with more info as it becomes available.
