Mondo Macabro Revives Aswang on Blu-ray, Featuring New 4K Restoration

Mondo Macabro will release Aswang on Blu-ray, also known as The Unearthing. The disc is region free and sourced from a new 4K restoration of the original 16mm negative. The film was the first horror title to screen at Sundance, where it premiered in 1994.
Description
A pregnant girl agrees to pose as another man’s wife and is taken to an isolated estate to give birth. The arrangement quickly turns into a nightmare. After Sundance, the film was acquired for U.S. distribution, retitled The Unearthing, and cut for an R rating. A short theatrical run followed, but major video chains declined to stock it.
