Severin Films will release Mario Bava’s A Bay of Blood (1971) on 4K UHD as part of its 2025 Black Friday releases. Presented in a 5-disc limited edition, this marks the worldwide UHD premiere of the giallo classic that helped define Italian horror and shape the modern slasher genre.

About the Film

When a wealthy countess is murdered for her bayfront property, the crime sets off a chain of gruesome killings among greedy heirs and ruthless developers. A Bay of Blood is also known as Blood Bath, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Carnage, and Last House on the Left Part II. It remains one of Mario Bava’s most audacious works. The film features Claudine Auger, Luigi Pistilli, and Laura Betti, with gore effects by Carlo Rambaldi (Alien) and a score by Stelvio Cipriani (Baron Blood).
